About
SEAGULL II is a classic motor yacht, revived for the modern charter market. At once masculine and romantic, she’s a beloved figure on the Croatian yachting scene, perfect for sunny summer cruises within the Western Mediterranean.
SEAGULL II was born as a coastal passenger ship in 1952, part of a series of vessels inspired by Croatian literary figures. For half a century, she ferried passengers to Dubrovnik, Kotor, Split, and Rijeka—she was a familiar sight along the gentle coves of the Adriatic coastline.
But her story began well before that, on the drawing boards of an Italian design firm in the 1930s. Her blueprints survived the war, eventually finding their way to Pula, Croatia, where a well-known shipyard, Uljanik, captured the golden age of ocean liners in her exterior profile—a single glance and it’s obvious she is of a different era.
Then, in 2004, she was purchased by an owner who, inspired by nostalgia and her old-world charm, converted her into a luxury superyacht. They kept her true to her heritage, carefully protecting her pretty patina while updating her for the modern world: Think buttery-soft leather Chesterfields, a romantic canoe stern, and a genteel gentleman’s bar, paired with adrenaline-inducing water toys, superfast wi-fi, and a bubbling sundeck Jacuzzi. In a nod to her 1930s origins, her designers took inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement, incorporating design elements and artworks throughout her interiors.
She is now a successful charter yacht, counting among her guests royalty and celebrities alike—His Majesty King Frederik X of Denmark is, reportedly, a fan; Bono once whiled away a day upon her sun-warmed teak decks. She can accommodate up to 12 guests across seven cabins, including five double cabins and two twins. She is helmed by Captain Vojo Vujsic—a sailor in his youth and a former pilot—working alongside Ivan Puco, a creative chef specialised in Mediterranean cuisine, and well-studied in both pastry and dessert making.
Today, you’ll still find her sailing that same Adriatic coastline, extending her cruising grounds into the Western Mediterranean, but still very much at home within her original Croatian waters.
