MYBA Charter Show 2025

Hill Robinson reflects on the return of the MYBA Charter Show to Sanremo and the growing momentum behind this iconic event.
Returning to its origins in Sanremo, Italy, the MYBA Charter Show 2025 took place with perfect spring conditions, a lineup of quality charter yachts and a strong turnout of industry professionals. Held from 28 April to 1 May, the show welcomed 81 yachts, alongside 660 charter brokers, 79 charter managers, and more than 340 exhibitors from 67 companies.
For the Hill Robinson charter management team, the event offered a prime opportunity to present yachts and meet brokers to discuss enquiries for its charter fleet ahead of the summer Mediterranean season. “This time of year is critical,” explains Head of Charter Management Nicolas Fry. “Brokers are actively confirming summer itineraries for their clients, and the show allows them to step aboard, meet the crew and experience first-hand the calibre of the yachts they’re proposing to clients.”
Among the Hill Robinson fleet was the sleek 30m motor yacht BACCARAT. Led by Captain Etienne, BACCARAT welcomed over 140 brokers onboard throughout the event. Visitors were met with thoughtful hospitality – refreshment towels, infused water, fresh coffee and warm croissants – creating an inviting atmosphere that was gratefully received.
On Monday, Charter Manager Marcella Tichelaar hosted an exquisite broker’s lunch prepared by BACCARAT’s talented chef, Fabrice Lucas, while Wednesday’s sunset cocktail – provided by Global Wine Solutions – proved to be a standout gathering. “The feedback from brokers has been overwhelmingly positive,” Nicolas notes. “Curated events like these make a lasting impression, and we’ve already received several charter enquiries for May and June.”
While BACCARAT attracted considerable attention, several other yachts stood out across the show. Charter Manager Camille Medina highlighted three personal favourites:
- 60m Oceanco ALFA G: Fresh from an award-winning refit, this yacht impressed with its transformation and experienced crew.
- 65m Feadship NECTAR: Recently refitted, she combines the timeless elegance of a classic Feadship with a beautifully updated interior and modern comforts.
- 5m Tecnomar THIS IS IT: A true showstopper, featuring a futuristic layout, spaceship-like bridge, and an extraordinary aft master suite.
With only a couple of yachts at anchor and the majority moored in-port, the layout made for seamless access. For 2026, organisers plan to introduce a floating platform to further enhance movement between the quays.
The MYBA Charter Show’s successful return to Sanremo has already confirmed its place on next year’s calendar. “We’re looking forward to returning,” concludes Charter Manager Romina Rastelli. “It’s clear that Sanremo has sparked new momentum for the show and set a strong tone for the Mediterranean season ahead.”
