Hill Robinson announces two leadership appointments in procurement and fleet management

Two internal moves reflect Hill Robinson’s growing investment in systems and sourcing

Hill Robinson has announced two role changes within its operations team, reflecting the company’s continued investment in their systems and sourcing structures that support its managed fleet and clients.

Matthew Hrachovec, previously Procurement Manager, has been appointed Head of Procurement. And, Peter Van Toor, who held the role before him, moves into a newly created role as FMS (Fleet Management System) Product Owner, joining the team that is responsible for delivering and implementing Hill Robinson’s expanded and upgraded Fleet Management System.

The changes follow a period of growth in Hill Robinson’s fleet, their services, and specifically, their well-integrated procurement services.

As Head of Procurement, Matthew will bring commercial discipline, global sourcing strategy, and cost optimisation to vessel spend, without becoming a bottleneck to the schedules of the crew or owners.

“Procurement and fleet management will be working towards the same goal: efficiency across the fleet, underpinned by the systems that Peter and the wider project team are now optimising,” Matthew says. “I’m looking forward to strengthening our relationships with crew & vendors and delivering an even more valuable service to our clients.”

Peter’s new role sees him join the team that is tasked with building out Hill Robinson’s upgraded Fleet Management System.

“I’m looking forward to introducing fleet management thinking into yacht management overall, creating efficiencies for the business and for the vessels and clients we serve,” Peter says.

Both appointments take effect immediately.
